I incorporated Kristen's "Yoga Emergency" into my training regimen a few weeks before my first marathon.

I found that it not only helped me achieve the flexibility I needed, but it granted me the calm and confidence that carried me across the finish line.

Thanks, Kristen!

Kristen’s amazing warmth and care as a yoga teacher sets her above and beyond other yoga instructors. My pregnancy has been a dream experience because of Kristen’s yoga classes and her special personal technique to custom make a class for students needs.

This yoga has added a sort of stability to my experience of pregnancy. It is purely ME time. Yoga brings my unborn inner child outward and gives me a higher sense of inner calm, while strengthening my body. My body, mind, heart, and soul become one and I have felt a deeper connection with my baby to be.. So Thank-You.

I have taken several of Kristen's prenatal yoga classes and they are nothing less than a treat for both body and mind. The most memorable class I took, however, was at the end of my second pregnancy. I was very close to my due date and told her I was ready to deliver. Kristen guided me though a wonderful class that left me with the strength and energy I needed to have my baby. The next night I went into labor. I used the poses she taught me while I labored naturally at home and in the hospital. I had a wonderful birth experience (something I never thought was possible after my first birth experience.) I will always be grateful I went to her class the day before I had my little boy. Thanks-

I'm thrilled and priveleged that I got to experience labor. It was strangely beautiful and I was so in the zone throughout the whole experience. The practice that I shared with you in your class was so amazingly helpful in keeping me centered and calm, the postures really helped me get through those contractions, And let me tell you, I was the squatting queen! Thank you Kristen, for being such an amazing support on this journey. You truly are a special teacher and spirit & are the kind of yoga teacher that literally transforms the air and energy in the room. You create a truly honest, sacred, and inspired experience, what yoga is supposed to be. You have such extensive knowledge and infectious passion for your work and for life, what a lovely gift to women you are!
Big hug,

Less expensive than a chiropractic session and more addictive than a Vicoden (in a good way), the healing vibes of Kristen Eykel's Yoga Emergency class at Inner Power Yoga releases hunched shoulders, lessens back strain, and soothes the aches and pains of pregnancy. And if you are just a neurotic mess, the soothing incantations of this model- beautiful instructor with 20 years experience in Shamanism, Reiki and Kundalini could calm even the suicidal.

Her candelit class is taught with subtle strains of Indian music playing in the background, accompanying her easy-to-follow instruction; Eykel guides you through relaxing postures that even the tightest of truck drivers can follow. She emphasizes that this is not a "sweat class" ( although you will probably sweat) but a class to make you feel better.

"It's purpose is to bring into your day an energy that you would like to accentuate, or to release something that no longer serves you emotionally or physically," Eykel explains. Occasionally, a particular movement can release so much emotion that it's not uncommon to witness a student burst into tears during the practice. "
